My birthday is at the end of this week!! Yey!! So I thought I would share with you some of my favourite things to help you get to know me a bit better.

IKEA

Ikea is one of those shops that all people will have heard of and if you haven’t heard of it, you’ve probably been a bit of a hermit. The reason I love Ikea is that they genuinely have some good quality housewares, at good prices that generally are on trend or classic.

I’m going to show you some of my favourite pieces from Ikea, some will be straight off the shelf, some will be ikea hacks from pinterest and others will be what super creative people have done with their ikea wares.

Magnetic Spice Rack

My husband and I have done this in our kitchen, sticking them to the fridge, to free up some space in our cupboards. I cannot tell you how successful this has been for us. We used a marker to label the tubs.

I love how simple and clutter free this is. I also would love to simplify my wardrobe like this, just sticking with neutrals, I just can’t bare to part with my brightly coloured pieces.

Globe Accessory

I think this is such a sweet hack. You could easily change the design on the outside to something other than a globe, but who doesn’t love a vintage style globe on their mantle piece/sideboard.

Hot Air Balloon Decoration

For our wedding, I created some hot air balloon table centre pieces, which is why this decoration makes me happy.

Let me know what things you’ve done with your ikea pieces.
